Clearing Resolver Cache Using IPCONFIG

Resolver cache stores responses from the DNS server into memory.The IPconfig utility is capable of removing old DNS data in the resolver cache.

IPCONFIG command-line utility used in Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7


To display the DNS resolver cache on your system

Type "ipconfig/displaydns"

To clear the entries from the DNS resolver cache.

Type " ipconfig /flushdns"

Must be in administrator
mode in Vista/ Windows & or gives "the requested operation requires elevation" error.
